AGRICULTURAL AND VETERINARY CHEMICALS ACT 1988 No. 91 of 1988 - SECT 29

29. (1) Subject to this section, meetings of the Council shall be convened by
the Chairperson on his or her own motion or at the request of 2 or more other
members.

(2) Each meeting shall be held at such time and at such place as the
Chairperson determines.

(3) At a meeting of the Council, the number of members constituting a quorum
is the number that is equal to two thirds of the number of members of the
Council, or, if the number so calculated is not a whole number, the lowest
whole number that exceeds that number.

(4) The Chairperson shall preside at all meetings of the Council, at which he
or she is present.

(5) If the Chairperson is absent from a meeting of the Council, the members
present shall appoint one of their number to preside at the meeting.

(6) A question arising at a meeting of the Council shall be determined by a
majority of the votes of the members present and voting.

(7) The member presiding at a meeting of the Council has a deliberative vote
and, in the event of an equality of votes, also has a casting vote.

(8) The Council shall keep a record of its proceedings.

(9) The procedure of the Council shall be as determined by the Council.
