ABORIGINAL AND TORRES STRAIT ISLANDER COMMISSION AMENDMENT ACT (No. 2) 1993 No. 37 of 1993 - SECT 24

Persons taken to have resigned from Regional Councils in certain circumstances

24. Section 121 of the Principal Act is amended by inserting after subsection
(1A) the following subsection:

"(1B) Subsection (1) does not apply to the Chairperson of a Regional Council
if the Commission makes a written determination that it is satisfied that the
Chairperson lives within reasonable daily commuting distance of an office of
the Commission that serves the region concerned.".
