ABORIGINAL AND TORRES STRAIT ISLANDER COMMISSION ACT 1989 No. 150 of 1989 - SECT 93

93. (1) The Regional Council for a region may from time to time, by
resolution, determine a name, or a new name, for the Regional Council.

(2) Where a Regional Council determines a name, or a new name, for the
Regional Council, the Regional Council shall give the Commission written
notice of the name or the new name.

(3) The corporate name of a Regional Council for a region that includes a
place or places set out in column B of Schedule 1 is:

   (a)  if a name for the Regional Council has not been determined under
        subsection (1)-the Regional Council for the region that includes that
        place or those places; or

   (b)  the name shown in the most recent notice given to the Commission under
        subsection (2).
