ABORIGINAL AND TORRES STRAIT ISLANDER COMMISSION ACT 1989 No. 150 of 1989 - SECT 55

55. (1) Subject to section 56, the staff required to assist the Commission in
the performance of its functions shall be persons appointed or employed under
the Public Service Act 1922.

(2) The Chief Executive Officer has all the powers of, or exercisable by, a
Secretary under the Public Service Act 1922, so far as those powers relate to
the branch of the Australian Public Service comprising the staff referred to
in subsection (1), as if that branch were a separate Department of the
Australian Public Service.
