ABORIGINAL AND TORRES STRAIT ISLANDER COMMISSION ACT 1989 No. 150 of 1989 - SECT 39

39. (1) A Commissioner may resign by writing signed by him or her and sent to
the Minister.

(2) An elected Commissioner shall be taken to have resigned if:

   (a)  the Commissioner resigns from the Regional Council of which he or she
        was a member when elected to represent the zone concerned; or

   (b)  under section 121, the Commissioner is to be taken to have resigned
        from that Regional Council.
