ABORIGINAL AND TORRES STRAIT ISLANDER COMMISSION ACT 1989 No. 150 of 1989 - SECT 33

33. (1) A non-elected Commissioner holds office for such period, being at
least 2 years but not more than 3 years, as is specified in, or ascertained in
accordance with, the instrument of appointment.

(2) A Commissioner elected as provided in Division 7 of Part 3 to represent a
zone holds office until another person is appointed as a Commissioner after
having been elected as provided in that Division to represent that zone.
