ABORIGINAL AND TORRES STRAIT ISLANDER COMMISSION ACT 1989 No. 150 of 1989 - SECT 217

217. Where:

   (a)  before the commencement, a complaint was made to the Ombudsman, or the
        Ombudsman commenced an investigation, under the Ombudsman Act 1976 in
        relation to action taken by the old Commission or the old Department;
        and

   (b)  immediately before the commencement, the Ombudsman had not finally
        disposed of the matter in accordance with the Ombudsman Act 1976; the
        Ombudsman Act 1976 applies after the commencement as if that action
        had been taken by the new Commission.
