Remuneration and allowances
194. (1) The following provisions apply in relation to the holder of an office
who is, by a provision of this Act, entitled to remuneration and allowances in
accordance with this section:
(a) the holder of the office shall be paid such remuneration as is
determined by the Remuneration Tribunal;
(b) if no determination of that remuneration by the Remuneration Tribunal
is in operation, the holder of the office shall be paid such
remuneration as is determined, in writing, by the Minister;
(c) the holder of the office shall be paid such allowances as are
determined, in writing, by the Minister.
(2) A determination by the Minister for the purposes of paragraph (1) (b) or
(c) is a disallowable instrument for the purposes of section 46A of the Acts
Interpretation Act 1901 .
(3) This section has effect subject to the Remuneration Tribunals Act 1973.
