AUSTRALIAN AIRLINES (CONVERSION TO PUBLIC COMPANY) ACT 1988 No. 6 of 1988 - SECT 6

6. During the reorganisation, the Minister may nominate in writing as the
holding company for the purposes of this Act a body corporate:

   (a)  that is incorporated (whether before, at or after the commencement of
        this section) under the Companies Act 1981;

   (b)  that is a public company, and a company limited by shares, within the
        meaning of that Act; and

   (c)  all the shares in which are beneficially owned by the Commonwealth.
