AUSTRALIAN AIRLINES (CONVERSION TO PUBLIC COMPANY) ACT 1988 No. 6 of 1988 - SECT 19
Application of certain provisions of Companies Act
19. (1) Section 82 of the Companies Act 1981 applies in relation to the
transferring body as if the Commonwealth were a holding company of a kind
referred to in subsection 82 (2) of that Act.
(2) Paragraph 86 (6) (b) and subsections 87 (4) and 90 (5) of the Companies
Act 1981 do not apply in relation to the transferring body.
(3) For the purposes of section 360 of the Companies Act 1981, a person is not
a past member of the transferring body merely because he or she was a member
of it, or acted as a member of it, before the transition.
