Short title.

      APPLE  AND  PEAR  STABILIZATION  EXPORT  DUTY  AMENDMENT  ACT  1977

An Act to amend the Apple and Pear Stabilization Export Duty Act 1971.

  BE IT ENACTED by the Queen, and the Senate and House of Representatives of
the Commonwealth of Australia, as follows:-
Short title, &c.
  1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Apple and Pear Stabilization Export Duty
Amendment Act 1977.*1*
  (2) The Apple and Pear Stabilization Export Duty Act 1971*2* is in this Act
referred to as the Principal Act.

- SECT 2
Commencement.

  2. This Act shall come into operation on the day on which it receives the
Royal Assent.*1*

- SECT 3
Imposition of export duty.

  3. Section 6 of the Principal Act is amended by inserting in sub- section
(1A), after the word and figures ''1 October 1975'', the words ''and in
relation to the next succeeding season''.

- SECT 4
Rate of export duty.

  4. Section 7 of the Principal Act is amended-

  (a)  by inserting in sub-section (2A), after the word and figures ''1
October 1975'', the words ''or during the next succeeding season''; and

  (b)  by omitting from sub-section (2A) the words ''that season'' and
substituting the words ''the season concerned''.
