Commonwealth Consolidated Regulations(1) Subject to the Act and these Regulations, a notice or other document that is required or permitted by the Act or these Regulations to be given to, or served upon, a person by the Registrar may be so given or served by delivering it, or sending it by properly pre-paid post or by telegram or facsimile transmission, to the person at the address that is last-known to the Registrar as the address of that person.
(2) Service of a notice or other document that is sent to a person by telegram in pursuance of subregulation (1) is taken, unless the contrary is proved, to have been effected at the time at which the telegram would be received in the ordinary course of transmission.
