Notes to the Product Stewardship (Oil) Regulations 2000

Note 1

The Product Stewardship (Oil) Regulations 2000 (in force under the Product Stewardship (Oil) Act 2000) as shown in this compilation comprise Statutory Rules 2000 No. 199 amended as indicated in the Tables below.

Under the Legislative Instruments Act 2003, which came into force on 1 January 2005, it is a requirement for all non‑exempt legislative instruments to be registered on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments.  From 1 January 2005 the Statutory Rules series ceased to exist and was replaced with Select Legislative Instruments (SLI series). Numbering conventions remain the same, ie Year and Number.

(a)    Regulation 2 of SLI 2008 No. 28 provides as follows:

             These Regulations commence, or are taken to have commenced, as follows:

             (a)      immediately after the commencement of section 10 of the Product Stewardship (Oil) Act 2000 -- regulations 1 to 3 and Schedule 1;

             (b)      immediately after the Product Stewardship (Oil) Amendment Regulations 2003 (No. 1) are taken to have commenced -- regulation 4 and Schedule 2;

             (c)      immediately after the commencement of the Product Stewardship (Oil) Amendment Regulations 2005 (No. 1) -- regulation 5 and Schedule 3;

         Section 10 of the Product Stewardship (Oil) Act 2000 commenced on 1 January 2001.

         The Product Stewardship (Oil) Amendment Regulations 2003 (No. 1) commenced on 1 July 2002.

         The Product Stewardship (Oil) Amendment Regulations 2005 (No. 1) commenced on 15 February 2005.
