MIGRATION REFORM (TRANSITIONAL PROVISIONS) REGULATIONS - REG 33

Justice certificate issued under old Act

(1)
In this regulation:

"justice certificate" means a certificate that was issued before 1 September 1994 under subsection 51 (1) of the old Act.
(2) A justice certificate issued before 1 September 1994 is taken to continue in effect on and after that date as a Commonwealth criminal justice entry certificate issued under section 145 of the amended Act.

(3)
A non-citizen in relation to whom a Commonwealth criminal justice entry certificate is taken to be in force under subregulation (2) is taken to hold a criminal justice entry visa on and from 1 September 1994.
