(2) For subsection 3C (3) of the Act: (a) Iraq is taken to have been a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act on and after 1 July 2009; and (b) Iraq is to cease being a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act on 30 June 2014. 5 Solomon Islands (1) For paragraph 3C (1) (a) of the Act, Solomon Islands is a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act. (2) For subsection 3C (3) of the Act: (a) Solomon Islands is taken to have been a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act on and after 1 July 2009; and (b) Solomon Islands is to cease being a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act on 30 June 2014. 6 Papua New Guinea (1) For paragraph 3C (1) (a) of the Act, Papua New Guinea is a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act. (2) For subsection 3C (3) of the Act: (a) Papua New Guinea is taken to have been a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act on and after 1 July 2009; and (b) Papua New Guinea is to cease being a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act on 30 June 2014. 7 Afghanistan (1) For paragraph 3C (1) (a) of the Act, Afghanistan is a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act. (2) For subsection 3C (3) of the Act: (a) Afghanistan is taken to have been a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act on and after 1 July 2009; and (b) Afghanistan is to cease being a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act on 30 June 2014.
