CIVIL AVIATION SAFETY REGULATIONS 1998 - REG 92.120
Training--certain employees of shippers of dangerous goods(1) Subject to subregulation (2), a person who ships dangerous goods must ensure that each of its group F employees undertakes training in accordance with subregulation (4):
(a) before the employee first performs the relevant duties; and
(b) every 2 years while the employee continues to have those duties.
Maximum penalty: 30 penalty units.
(2) Subregulation (1) does not apply to an individual who consigns dangerous goods within Australian territory for his or her own private, non - commercial purposes.
(3) An offence against subregulation (1) is an offence of strict liability.
Note: For strict liability , see section 6.1 of the Criminal Code .
(4) The training that such an employee must undertake is a
training course approved by CASA as being appropriate for group F employees
and as meeting the requirements of regulation 92.135.
