CIVIL AVIATION SAFETY REGULATIONS 1998 - REG 42.885
Requirements to be met by continuing airworthiness management organisations before extension of airworthiness review certificate(1) A continuing airworthiness management organisation must ensure that an individual does not extend an airworthiness review certificate on its behalf for an aircraft unless the requirements mentioned in regulation 42.880 are met.
Offence for breach of obligation
(2) A continuing airworthiness management organisation commits an offence if:
(a) an individual extends an airworthiness review certificate on its behalf for an aircraft; and
(b) a requirement mentioned in regulation 42.880 is not met in relation to the issuing of the certificate.
(3) An offence against subregulation (2) is an offence of
strict liability.
