Application for exemption from, or variation of, requirement of airworthiness directive If an application under regulation 42ZR of CAR for an
exemption from, or a variation of, a requirement of an
airworthiness directive, in so far as it relates to a particular aircraft, was
still pending immediately before 1 January 2000, the application has
effect as if it were a written request made by the applicant, on that day, for
CASA to exclude, under regulation 39.004, the aircraft from the
operation of the airworthiness directive.
