CIVIL AVIATION SAFETY REGULATIONS 1998 - REG 173.165
Approval for appointment of chief designer(1) A certified designer must not appoint a person as chief designer unless the appointment is approved by CASA.
(2) To be appointed as chief designer, a person must, at the
time of appointment, meet the standards for the chief designer for a
certified designer's organisation set out in the Manual of Standards.
