CIVIL AVIATION SAFETY REGULATIONS 1998 - REG 173.145
Certified designer to have safety management system(1) A certified designer must have, and put into effect, a safety management system that includes the policies, procedures, and practices necessary for managing design work on terminal instrument flight procedures carried on under the designer's procedure design certificate.
(2) The safety management system must be in accordance with the standards set out in the Manual of Standards.
(3) The designer must keep its safety management system under
review and take any necessary corrective action to ensure that it operates
properly.
