TAXATION LAWS AMENDMENT ACT (NO. 1) 1998 - SECT 2

             (1)  Subject to this section, this Act commences on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.

             (2)  Items 35, 46, 47, 50, 51 and 54 of Schedule 1 commence immediately after the commencement of item 17 of that Schedule.

             (3)  Schedule 8 is taken to have commenced immediately before 1 July 1997.
