Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated Acts(1) Telstra must take all reasonable steps to ensure that an unacceptable foreign‑ownership situation does not exist in relation to Telstra.
(2) Telstra is guilty of an offence if:
(a) Telstra engages in conduct; and
(b) that conduct contravenes subsection (1).
Penalty: 500 penalty units.
(3) In this section:
"engage in conduct " means:
(a) do an act; or
(b) omit to perform an act.
