TELECOMMUNICATIONS (INTERCEPTION AND ACCESS) ACT 1979 - SECT 206
Outline of Part(1) Division 2 provides that the cost of developing, installing and maintaining an interception capability imposed on a carrier under Part 5 - 3 is to be borne by the carrier.
(2) Division 3 provides that the cost of developing, installing and maintaining a delivery capability imposed on a carrier under Part 5 - 5 is to be borne by the interception agencies.
Note: This Part does not deal with the allocation of costs in relation
to carriers complying with authorisations under Division 3 or 4 of Part
4 - 1. Section 314 of the Telecommunications Act 1997 deals with
this matter.
