SOCIAL SECURITY (ADMINISTRATION) ACT 1999 - SECT 166
Exercise by Secretary of powers under section 192(1) The AAT may ask the Secretary to exercise the Secretary's powers under section 192 if the AAT reasonably believes that a person will be able to give information, or produce a document, that is relevant to an AAT first review of a decision.
(2) The Secretary must comply with a request under subsection (1) as soon as practicable and, in any event, within 7 days after the request is made.
(3) Section 191A does not apply to the Secretary when
complying with a request under subsection (1).
