SAFETY, REHABILITATION AND COMPENSATION ACT 1988 - SECT 113
Recovery of amounts due to relevant authority(a) a person (in this section called the debtor ) is liable to pay an amount to a relevant authority under this Act; and
(b) the relevant authority holds on behalf of the debtor:
(i) money, being compensation payable under this Act for the benefit of the debtor; or
(ii) investments acquired out of money of a kind referred to in subparagraph (i);
the relevant authority shall recover from the money so held, or shall realise
the investments so held and recover from the proceeds of the realisation, an
amount not exceeding the amount referred to in paragraph (a) and the
recovery of that amount is, to the extent of the amount, a discharge of the
liability of the debtor to the relevant authority and of the relevant
authority to the debtor.
