Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated Acts(1) Subject to sections 44 and 78, the owner or operator of a sea installation installed in an adjacent area shall not carry out environment related work, or allow such work to be carried out, on the installation otherwise than in accordance with a permit.
Penalty:
(a) in the case of a natural person--$50,000; or
(b) in the case of a body corporate--$250,000.
(2) An offence under subsection (1) is an offence of strict liability.
