SUPERANNUATION ACT 1976 - SECT 26

             (1)  The staff required to assist the Commissioner to perform the functions of the Commissioner under this Act or any other law of the Commonwealth (including any function that the Commissioner has by virtue of being the Chairman of the Defence Force Retirement and Death Benefits Authority) shall be persons engaged under the Public Service Act.

             (2)  For the purposes of the Public Service Act 1999 :

                     (a)  the Commissioner and the APS employees assisting the Commissioner together constitute a Statutory Agency; and

                     (b)  the Commissioner is the Head of that Statutory Agency.
