SUPERANNUATION ACT 1976 - SECT 18

Appointment and term of office

             (1)  The Commissioner shall be appointed by the Governor‑General.

             (2)  A person appointed as Commissioner shall hold office for such period, not exceeding 7 years, as the Governor‑General specifies in his or her instrument of appointment.

             (3)  A person appointed as Commissioner is eligible for re‑appointment.

             (5)  The Commissioner shall hold office on such terms and conditions (if any) in respect of matters not provided for by this Act as are determined by the Governor‑General.
