REFERENDUM (MACHINERY PROVISIONS) ACT 1984 - SECT 126
Cards in polling booth(1) A person shall not, except for the purposes of section 36, display or leave at a polling booth a card or paper that contains a recommendation as to how an elector should vote at a referendum or as to the method of voting at a referendum.
(2) Subsection (1) does not apply to an instruction as to
the method of voting at a referendum displayed at a polling booth by a person
authorized to display such an instruction.
