Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated Acts(1) The Minister may, by notice published in the Gazette , declare that a place beyond or in Australia is infected with a quarantinable disease or quarantinable pest, or that a quarantinable disease or quarantinable pest may be brought or carried from or through that place.
(2) For the purposes of this Act, a place is a declared place while the declaration remains in force.
