NORTHERN TERRITORY (SELF-GOVERNMENT) ACT 1978 - SECT 18
Resignation of members of Legislative Assembly A member of the Legislative Assembly may resign his or her
office by writing signed by him or her and delivered to the Speaker or, if
there is no Speaker or the Speaker is absent from the Territory, to the
Administrator, and on the receipt of the resignation by the Speaker or the
Administrator, as the case may be, his or her office shall become vacant.
