NATIONAL MEASUREMENT ACT 1960 - SECT 18MP
Consent to enter residential premises(1) Before obtaining the consent of a person for the purposes of paragraph 18ME(3)(a) or subparagraph 18MF(2)(b)(i), the trade measurement inspector must inform the person that he or she may refuse consent.
(2) An entry or inspection by a trade measurement inspector by
virtue of a person's consent is not lawful unless the person voluntarily
consented to the entry or inspection.
