NATIONAL MEASUREMENT ACT 1960 - SECT 18LF
When an infringement notice can be given(1) If a trade measurement inspector has reasonable grounds to believe that a person has contravened a provision of this Act that is stated to be an offence of strict liability, the inspector may give the person an infringement notice relating to the contravention.
(2) The infringement notice must be given within 12 months after
the day on which the trade measurement inspector discovers the alleged
contravention.
