Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated ActsThe appointment of a person to an executive office takes effect on the day specified in the instrument of appointment and terminates when:
(a) he or she ceases, by reason of his or her resignation or by reason of the provisions of section 39, to be a member of the Legislative Assembly;
(b) his or her appointment is terminated by the Administrator under section 13;
(c) he or she resigns his or her office by writing signed by him or her and delivered to the Administrator; or
(d) the Legislative Assembly first meets after a general election of the Legislative Assembly that takes place after the appointment takes effect;
whichever first happens.
