NATIONAL GALLERY ACT 1975 - SECT 37

(1)

The moneys of the Gallery (including money standing to the credit of the Fund) shall be applied only:

(a) in payment or discharge of the costs or expenses of the Gallery under this Act; and
(b) in payment of any remuneration and allowances payable under this Act.

(2)

Subsection (1) does not prevent investment of surplus money of the Gallery under section 18 of the Commonwealth Authorities and Companies Act 1997 .
