MOTOR VEHICLE STANDARDS ACT 1989 - SECT 14

Nonstandard vehicles not to be supplied to market

             (1)  Subject to section 14A, a person must not supply to the market a new vehicle that:

                     (a)  is nonstandard; or

                     (b)  does not have an identification plate.

Penalty:  120 penalty units.
