MUTUAL ASSISTANCE IN CRIMINAL MATTERS ACT 1987 - SECT 34ZG
Attorney - General may authorise authorised officers(a) a proceeding or investigation relating to a criminal matter involving a foreign serious offence has commenced in a foreign country; and
(b) the foreign country requests assistance in relation to the proceeding or investigation; and
(c) such assistance may be obtained under the Proceeds of Crime Act in the form of a production order, search warrant or monitoring order;
then, the Attorney - General may authorise an authorised officer of an
enforcement agency to make any applications under that Act that are necessary
to respond to the request by the foreign country.
