(a)     The Medicare Agreements Act 1992 was amended by the Human Services and Health Legislation Amendment Act (No. 3) 1995, subsection 2(8) of which provides as follows:

                 (8)   Item 18 of Schedule 2 is taken to have commenced immediately before the commencement of Part 3 of the Medicare Agreements Act 1992.

         Part 3 commenced on 1 July 1993.
