MARRIAGE ACT 1961 - SECT 9A

Persons who may exercise certain powers may be restricted by Proclamation

             (1)  The Governor‑General may, by Proclamation, declare that, on and after a date fixed by the Proclamation, a power or function under this Act that is specified in the Proclamation, being a power or function expressed by this Act to be exercisable by a Judge, or by a Judge or magistrate, is not to be exercised, or is not to be exercised in a specified part of Australia, otherwise than by a Judge who is a Judge of the Family Court of Australia or of the Family Court of a State or a Federal Magistrate of the Federal Magistrates Court.

             (2)  Proclamations under this Part in respect of different parts of Australia may be made from time to time.
