INTERNATIONAL TRANSFER OF PRISONERS ACT 1997 - SECT 31
Cancellation of warrant
- (1)
- The Attorney-General may cancel a warrant for transfer to Australia at any
time before the prisoner it concerns leaves the transfer country.
- (2)
- Without
limiting the grounds on which the Attorney-General may cancel a transfer
warrant, it must be cancelled if the Attorney-General, a State or Territory
Minister, a prisoner or prisoner's representative, or the transfer country
concerned, withdraws consent to the transfer.
