INTERNATIONAL TRANSFER OF PRISONERS ACT 1997 - SECT 23
Cancellation of warrant for transfer from Australia
- (1)
- The Attorney-General may cancel a warrant for transfer from Australia at
any time before the prisoner it concerns leaves Australia.
- (2)
- Without
limiting the grounds on which the Attorney-General may cancel a warrant for
transfer, it must be cancelled if the Attorney-General, a State or Territory
Minister, the prisoner or prisoner's representative or the transfer country
concerned, withdraws consent to the transfer.
