INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS (CONSEQUENTIAL PROVISIONS) ACT 1988 - SECT 15

(1)

This Act and the Industrial Relations Act have effect, in relation to matters that were before the former Commission before the commencement, as if references to an industrial dispute included references to:

(a)

an industrial dispute within the meaning of the previous Act;

(b)

an industrial question within the meaning of Division 1A, 2 or 4 of Part III of the previous Act;

(c)

an industrial question in relation to the Railway Service within the meaning of Division 4 of Part IV of the Australian National Railways Commission Act 1983 ;

(d)

an industrial question in relation to the Commonwealth Teaching Service within the meaning of Division 7 of Part III of the Commonwealth Teaching Service Act 1972 ;

(e)

an industrial question in relation to the Australian Postal Commission Service within the meaning of Division 8 of Part V of the Postal Services Act 1975 ;

(f)

an industrial question in relation to the Australian Telecommunications Commission Service within the meaning of Division 8 of Part V of the Telecommunications Act 1975 ;

(g)

an industrial dispute in the Northern Territory to which the previous Act applied under section 53 of the Northern Territory (Self-Government) Act 1978 ; and

(h)

an industrial dispute in the Australian Capital Territory to which the previous Act (other than Division 1A of Part III of that Act) applied under section 5 of the Seat of Government (Administration) Act 1910 .

This Act and the Industrial Relations Act have effect, in relation to matters that were before the Flight Crew Officers Industrial Tribunal before the commencement, as if references to an industrial dispute included references to an industrial question within the meaning of Part IIIA of the previous Act.
