Commonwealth Consolidated ActsThe Inspector‑General shall, before commencing an inquiry into a matter relating to an agency, have regard to the functions of the Auditor‑General and the Ombudsman in relation to that agency and may consult with the Auditor‑General or the Ombudsman in relation to that matter with a view to avoiding inquiries being conducted into that matter by the Inspector‑General and either or both of the Auditor‑General and the Ombudsman.
