Commonwealth Consolidated Acts(1) The Secretary may determine, in writing, that a certificate issued by an instrumentality of a specified foreign government stating that food of a specified kind meets applicable standards and does not pose a risk to human health is a recognised foreign government certificate.
(2) The Secretary may revoke a determination under subsection (1) if the Secretary has reason to doubt the continued reliability of a statement made in any certificate to which the determination relates.
(3) A person must not forge, or utter, knowing it to be forged, a certificate of the kind referred to in subsection (1).
Penalty: Imprisonment for 10 years.
