FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 1982 - SECT 70
Information Commissioner investigations--making complaints(1) A person (the complainant ) may complain to the Information Commissioner about an action taken by an agency in the performance of functions, or the exercise of powers, under this Act.
(b) identify the agency (also the respondent agency ) in respect of which the complaint is made.
(3) The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner must provide appropriate assistance to a person who:
(a) wishes to make a complaint; and
(b) requires assistance to formulate the complaint.
