ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION AND BIODIVERSITY CONSERVATION ACT 1999 - SECT 226
Prescribed waters(1) The regulations may declare the whole, or a specified part, of the coastal waters of a State or the Northern Territory to be prescribed waters.
(2) Before the Governor - General makes a regulation under
subsection (1), the Minister must obtain the agreement of the relevant
Minister of the State or the Northern Territory.
