COMMONWEALTH ELECTORAL ACT 1918 - SECT 242
Adjournment in other cases If from any cause any polling booth at a polling place is not
opened on polling day the Electoral Commissioner may adjourn the polling for a
period not exceeding 21 days, and shall forthwith give public notice of the
adjournment.
