Commonwealth Consolidated ActsA person is guilty of an offence if:
(a) the person:
(i) makes a record of; or
(ii) discloses to any other person; or
(iii) otherwise makes use of;
information; and
(b) the information is protected information; and
(c) the person:
(i) is not authorised or required by or under this Act or a family assistance law; and
(ii) has no other lawful authority;
to make the record, disclosure or use of the information that is made by the person; and
(d) the person knows, or is reckless as to whether, the information is protected information.
Penalty: Imprisonment for 2 years.
