CHEQUES ACT 1986 - SECT 116
Action on lost or destroyed cheque Where an action or proceeding is brought in a court on a cheque
that has been lost or destroyed, the court may, on such terms and conditions
as it considers just and equitable, order that the loss or destruction of the
cheque not be set up.
