BROADCASTING SERVICES (TRANSITIONAL PROVISIONS AND CONSEQUENTIAL AMENDMENTS) ACT 1992 - SECT 8

             (1)  Subject to any action taken under the new Act and to section 15, a licence to which subsection 5(1) applies has as its licence area the area that was the service area of the former licence under the Broadcasting Act immediately before the commencement of this Act.

             (2)  The ABA must take the licence areas referred to in subsection (1) into account in preparing a licence area plan under section 26 of the new Act.

             (3)  The licence area of a licence to which subsection 5(1) applies by virtue of subsection 5(3) is such area as the ABA, in its absolute discretion, determines.
